Circle Economy – Making you future proof
Circle Economy is a cooperative, based in Holand, and together with their members and partners they believe that it is time for a new economic approach: the circular economy. Therefore, they create industrial systems that are restorative by design by decoupling growth and resource needs.
They accelerate the transition towards a circular economy by providing insights in what a circular future might look like for a company, a region or even worldwide, and by coming up with scenarios for how to get there. Moreover, they provide a powerful network, tools and experience to the members of their cooperative to turn these scenarios into reality.
The Circularity Assessment Tool is one example of the work that they are carrying out to establish a global standard that will help investors and companies to understand how resilient they are against long-term systemic risks and demonstrate the value that can be created from following circular economy principles.
Collaboration is the key to making a circular economy happen, for that reason they believe that forces must be combined to create a circular economy as quickly as possible.
Joining forces with Exchange4Change not only as a collaborator but as a key advisor will help to foster the mission, bring knowledge and guide the activities to accelerate the transition towards a Circular Economy in Brazil.
WRAP – Resource Revolution, Creating the Future
WRAP is a UK organization well known for ground-breaking research that helps to carefully build evidence base, understand market failures and barriers that prevent the sustainable use of resources. They turn thinking into action and inspire those who have the power to effect widespread change.
WRAP works uniquely, and by design, in the space between governments, businesses, communities, thinkers and individuals – forging powerful partnerships and delivering ground-breaking initiatives to support more sustainable economies and society.
WRAP’s vision is a world in which resources are used sustainably and its mission is to accelerate the move to a sustainable resource-efficient economy through:
1 – re-inventing how we design, produce and sell products,
2 – re-thinking how we use and consume products, and
3 – re-defining what is possible through re-use and recycling
WRAP works in the UK and internationally, having recently worked in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) to develop a global food waste guidance tool as part of the UNEP ThinkEatSave initiative.
WRAP is looking forward to collaborate and explore potential opportunities of mutual benefit in Brasil where their unique expertise and track record of working with partners throughout the supply chain can be of value.
Forum for the Future – Bringing people and organizations together
Forum for the Future is an independent non-profit that works globally with business, government and others to solve complex sustainability challenges. Since its founding in 1996, Forum for the Future has worked to find practical ways for public and private organisations to contribute to sustainable development.
We have a 20-year track record working with organizations such as Unilever, PepsiCo, Skanska, AkzoNobel and Telefonica O2 both in one to one partnerships, and also as part of multi-stakeholder collaborations addressing system-wide challenges. Bringing people and organisations together around difficult issues such as community energy, shipping and new business models has led to powerful local and international coalitions.
Forum for the Future now employs over 80 people across four global offices – US, India, Singapore and the UK. Through publications, seminars, website and the Futures Centre, Forum for the Future shares its learning and leads debate on sustainability solutions by publicizing new ideas and good practices.
Forum for the Future’s Collaboration Guidebook, which demonstrates how to “initiate, build and manage collaborations for long term success”, was used to develop the 5-step process for collaboration applied by Exchange 4 Change Brasil.
Forum for the Future’s collaboration with the Exchange4Change Brasil platform allows for the sharing of knowledge and best practices. Our expertise and unique approach to system level change through collaboration creates potential for exciting opportunities of mutual benefit in Brazil.
